Women's Art Group - Albany
A free program for women experiencing drug/alcohol and mental health issues.
An Art Therapist and Support worker provide an ongoing program of art explorations.
Thursday mornings 9.30am to 12.30pm at Palmerston Albany.
No previous art experience needed
Self referrals welcome
Childcare can be arranged
One to one art therapy sessions also available
The sessions are informal. Clients are supported and encouraged to work on their own ideas.
Aims
To provide a supportive space to express ourselves through art
To build confidence and skill in the use of various art mediums
To explore art as a therapy through one to one sessions if requested
To provide a relaxing space where women can meet and feel supported
Building resilience through personal expression
Encourage women to incorporate art into their home life and share with their family
