Women's Art Group - Albany

A free program for women experiencing drug/alcohol and mental health issues.

An art therapist and support worker provide an ongoing program of art explorations.

Thursday mornings 9.30am to 12.30pm at Palmerston Albany.
  • No previous art experience needed
  • Self referrals welcome
  • Childcare can be arranged
  • One to one art therapy sessions also available
The sessions are informal. Clients are supported and encouraged to work on their own ideas.

Aims

  • To provide a supportive space to express ourselves through art
  • To build confidence and skill in the use of various art mediums
  • To explore art as a therapy through one to one sessions if requested
  • To provide a relaxing space where women can meet and feel supported
  • Building resilience through personal expression
  • Encourage women to incorporate art into their home life and share with their family
