Palmerston acknowledges the importance of Reconciliation Week and the events that mark the steps towards recognising the past traumas and exclusions of First nations Australians.

The Journey of Health and Wellbeing is a 10-minute animation that charts the progress of the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people and communities from colonisation to today. It seeks to help us understand how events of the past play out in the present but offers a framework of hope and equity.

The Journey of Health and Wellbeing video was developed by the Aboriginal Health Policy Directorate. It is based on the concept by Tim Muirhead and Danny Ford that has been used to enhance face-to-face Aboriginal cultural learning training in the WA health system for a number of years.

We highly recommend you watch the video as part of your Reconciliation week activities.
