Palmerston Association is a leading and respected not for profit provider of alcohol and other drug services. We have a rich and proud history of providing support through a range of services including counselling, groups, residential rehabilitation, and educational initiatives.

About the role

The Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Recovery and Rehabilitation Unit, located within Casuarina prison supports participants to develop and achieve their individual recovery plans through the Solid Steps AOD Recovery Program.

Palmerston Association and Wungening Aboriginal Corporation are the partners working closely with the Department of Justice to provide a community within the unit which facilitates a recovery focused, culturally responsive, and safe program for participants.

We are seeking a Resource Officer for maternity leave replacement to join the Solid Steps team. The resource officer’s role includes managing the client information system to ensure an efficient and effective clinical support service and is responsible for all administrative tasks including program scheduling, record keeping, reporting, bookings, and other administrative functions.

Pay Level is equivalent to Level 3 – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
