Palmerston Dental provides accessible oral health care to people accessing Palmerston’s AOD treatment and support services.
Services are delivered by volunteer dentists with priority given to urgent and essential care. Given our capacity is limited waiting times may apply.
Located at 17 Oxford Close, West Leederville, Palmerston Dental provides a dedicated space where people who experience barriers to mainstream dental services can access quality oral health care as part of their broader health, wellbeing and recovery journey.
The service builds on the success of Palmerston’s Oral Health Program, originally established to provide dental care to residents participating in Palmerston’s residential AOD rehabilitation program.
Palmerston Dental is delivered in partnership with Uniting Smiles, which shares a commitment to improving access to dental care for people experiencing disadvantage and marginalisation. The partnership brings together Palmerston’s expertise in AOD treatment and recovery with Uniting Smiles’ experience in providing accessible dental services to people who may otherwise experience significant barriers to care.
Together, Palmerston and Uniting Smiles are working to improve access to oral health care and support better health and wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.
