Palmerston Association has announced the appointment of Jordan Kelly as Chair and Erica Lampropoulos as Vice Chair of its Board, marking the beginning of an important new chapter for the organisation as it commences development of its next strategic plan.
The appointments come at a pivotal time for Palmerston, with the Board and leadership team focused on setting a clear long-term direction to support the organisation’s mission and the communities it serves.
Incoming Chair Jordan Kelly said it was a privilege to take on the role and to continue working alongside fellow Board members during a year of planning and renewal.
“Palmerston has a strong history of service, advocacy and impact,” Mr Kelly said. “The year ahead is about listening carefully, strengthening our foundations and ensuring our strategic plan reflects the needs of the communities we serve, now and into the future.”
Mr Kelly has served as a Director on the Palmerston Board since November 2017 and brings a strong focus on governance, stewardship and supporting the organisation’s people and purpose.
New Vice Chair Erica Lampropoulos said she was looking forward to working closely with the Chair, Board and executive team as Palmerston shapes its future direction.
“Palmerston plays a vital role in the community, and I’m proud to support the organisation at a time when clear strategy and strong governance are more important than ever,” Ms Lampropoulos said. “This year presents an opportunity to think ambitiously while staying grounded in Palmerston’s values.”
Ms Lampropoulos has been a Director since October 2018 and brings a collaborative, future-focused perspective, with a strong commitment to purpose-driven organisations and long-term impact.
The Board also acknowledged the significant contribution of outgoing Chair Louise Johnstone Forster, who has stepped down after more than a decade of service to Palmerston, including her leadership as Chair.
During her tenure, Ms Johnstone Forster made a substantial contribution to the organisation’s governance, leadership continuity and strategic stability, and was widely respected for her dedication to Palmerston’s mission and people.
“Louise’s commitment to Palmerston and the community has been extraordinary,” Mr Kelly said. “The Board sincerely thanks her for her leadership, wisdom and years of service, which have left a lasting legacy for the organisation.”
Palmerston Association thanks Ms Johnstone Forster for her contribution and wishes her well following her departure from the role.
The appointments of Jordan Kelly and Erica Lampropoulos take effect immediately.
