In partnership with SMART Recovery Australia, Palmerston is proud to announce the launch of online LGBTQIA+SB SMART Recovery Meetings, supporting the recovery journeys of individuals within the rainbow community, including sistergirls and brotherboys. The first session kicked off on February 6th, with meetings continuing every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM (AWST).
These meetings provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for individuals to address addictive behaviors, whether related to substances or activities. Sessions are led by trained facilitators and cover essential topics such as:
- Building and maintaining motivation
- Coping with urges and cravings
- Managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
- Living a balanced life
As a Rainbow Tick accredited organisation, Palmerston is committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces for all. This initiative highlights our dedication to promoting equality and recognising the diverse needs of the LGBTQIA+SB community.
Participation is free, and no registration is required.
