Palmerston Unveils New Armadale Office, Expanding Community Alcohol and Drug Services

Palmerston is pleased to announce the official opening of its new office in Armadale, providing a larger welcoming space for the South East Metro Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) team to support individuals in their journey to overcome alcohol and other drug challenges.
This morning’s unveiling ceremony was attended by local community members and key stakeholders, featuring a Welcome to Country by Auntie Liz Hayden and an official opening by Hon Dr Tony Buti MLA, Member for Armadale, with concluding remarks from Palmerston’s CEO, Emma Jarvis.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a morning tea and had the opportunity to network, explore the new office space, and participate in interactive art activities led by the CADS team. Palmerston Board Director Jordan Kelly and Deputy Commissioner of Mental Health, Alcohol, and Other Drugs, Julia Knapton, were in attendance, along with team members from various Palmerston programs and service areas
The Armadale South East Metro Community Alcohol and Drug Service provides free, confidential support for individuals facing alcohol and drug challenges. The new Armadale office broadens the reach of the CADS program and will ensure greater accessibility for those living in Armadale and the surrounding communities.
CADS offers a wide array of services for both adults and young people alike, including assessment, counselling, pharmacotherapy, outpatient and home-based withdrawal support, medical reviews, group therapy, and family support, along with outreach and community development activities.
“The new Armadale office strengthens our commitment to providing holistic, accessible, and community-based support to individuals and families in need of alcohol and drug services within the Armadale area,” said Palmerston CEO Emma Jarvis. “This new space should allow us to create a welcoming environment for individuals seeking support on their recovery journey, and for our staff as they deliver critical support services.”
