Palmerston was thrilled to once again participate in the spectacular PrideFEST Parade, held on Saturday, 23rd November, in the heart of Northbridge. Starting at 7:30 pm and running until around 9:30 pm, the parade saw the streets of Northbridge come alive with an incredible energy that had everyone in attendance buzzing with excitement. The crowd was phenomenal, with thousands in attendance cheering us on as we marched with pride alongside a dazzling lineup of community groups, businesses, and organisations.
As an organisation who has a long standing history supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community, it was truly inspiring to see the impact this event had on so many people in the crowd. The sense of joy, connection, and solidarity was palpable, and it’s moments like these that reinforce the importance of standing together in celebration of love, diversity, and inclusion. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Palmerston at Pride Fair Day
The Pride celebrations kicked off the previous weekend at Pride Fair Day, where the Supreme Court Gardens transformed into a lively hub of entertainment, community connection, and market stalls. Palmerston was proud to host a stall, engaging with hundreds of visitors and sharing information about our services tailored to the LGBTQIA+ community throughout the day.
Our team had a fantastic time connecting with so many people and highlighting the ways we provide support to those on their alcohol and other drug (AOD) recovery journey. Again, a massive thank you goes out to our staff who volunteered their time on a weekend to represent Palmerston!
